Megamarket not opening from abroad: what to do
In short
From abroad, Megamarket shows an “Oops…” page instead of the catalogue: the site treats the requests as automated and advises making sure your VPN is off. Our October 4 test returned the same page from Russian probes, so the country alone does not explain it. You can write to support at help@megamarket.ru with the request ID, or test a Russian IP address for free on the 7-day Liberum VPN trial; we do not guarantee the result.
Checked
Megamarket doesn’t open from abroad: instead of the catalogue, you get an “Oops…” page or an automated-request check. Here we explain what the Megamarket website shows from abroad, why, according to our measurements, the country makes no difference, and where to write to Megamarket if the check doesn’t pass. The measurement is one-off; the site does not explain the cause. You can test a Russian IP address for free, but there are no guarantees.
Why Megamarket doesn’t open from abroad
In our measurements, the Megamarket website responds in two ways. Our probe in Tbilisi (data center) got code 200 and the ServicePipe check page. Globalping, from five probes, got code 403 and the “Oops…” page. Its text reads: “We’re sorry, but requests from your device look automated. Make sure your VPN is turned off and that no anonymizer extensions are enabled in your browser.” Next, the page suggests writing to technical support at help@megamarket.ru and attaching the request ID.
The advice about the VPN and extensions is the page’s own text. We did not test it, and it is not our conclusion about the cause. The site gives no cause beyond the general wording about automated requests.
What we checked: the Megamarket website abroad
One-off measurement, October 3 and 4, 2026.
- Our probe, Tbilisi, data center (our server): three runs — two on October 3 and one on October 4. Each time, code 200 and the ServicePipe check page.
- Globalping, October 4, GET request to megamarket.ru, five probes: Russia — a home probe (Tomsk) and a data-center probe (Moscow); Germany — a home probe (Frankfurt); Kazakhstan — a home probe (Almaty); Georgia — a home probe (Tbilisi). All five returned code 403 and the “Oops…” page.
Our probe and Globalping got different codes for the same check. We don’t know why. One conclusion follows from the measurements: the Russian probes got the same page as the foreign ones.
Megamarket abroad: what the page advises
Megamarket is a marketplace founded in 2017 by the M.Video-Eldorado group; it was originally called Goods.ru. In 2021, Sberbank acquired 85% of the project. The co-owners of the platform’s legal entity, LLC “Marketplace,” are not disclosed, as Kommersant reported on June 8, 2026.
In April 2026, Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development said that marketplaces work normally abroad, and that restrictions are possible because of individual countries, providers and DDoS attacks. Reports about VPN checks concern other services: TASS reported that Ozon recommends “turning off the VPN if you are using one” (ComNews, April 16, 2026). We found no confirmation of the same rule for Megamarket. iPhones.ru (April 22, 2026) names Megamarket among the marketplaces that introduced new rules, but gives no details.
What you can try: where to write to Megamarket
- Support at help@megamarket.ru. The address is shown on the check page itself. The page advises attaching the request ID and the request time, which it displays.
- Checking your VPN and extensions. The page advises making sure your VPN is off and that your browser has no anonymizer extensions. We did not test this, so it is the site’s advice, not our conclusion about what will help.
A Russian IP for Megamarket: you can test it for free
A Russian address removes one possible cause: the country the request comes from. We have no guarantee that Megamarket will open after that: in the October 4 test, the Russian probes, including a home one, also got the “Oops…” page, and on October 8 our Russian location got the ServicePipe check page with code 200: only a browser with JavaScript can pass it, so our program-based request showed no result. Also, a Russian address means connecting through a VPN, and the page asks you to turn your VPN off, so it may not help. Our test was one snapshot of requests made by a program, not a visit through your browser, so your result may differ; you can find out for free.
Open the Liberum VPS bot, start the 7-day trial (no card needed), choose the Russian location, add the subscription link you receive to an app (for example, Happ), connect, and open Megamarket. The address is shared, not personal. If the check page is still there, write to support. How the Russian location works and what the subscription includes is explained on a separate page.
What we don’t promise
- That a Russian address will solve the problem. In our measurements, the page is the same in Russia and in three foreign countries: the Russian probes got 403 with the same page, so a Russian address may change nothing.
- That the connection will pass the check. We do not give advice on getting past a site’s check page. A Russian IP address means connecting through a VPN, and the page asks you to turn your VPN off, so it may not help; whether the check passes is up to the site.
What the Megamarket website shows: what we don’t know
- The cause of the check page: the site gave only the general wording about automated requests.
- Why our probe got code 200 and Globalping got 403: we did not find out.
- Whether the Megamarket app works from abroad: we did not check.
- Whether Megamarket opens through the Russian location of Liberum VPN in a browser: on October 8, 2026, it returned code 200 and the ServicePipe check page, which a program without a browser cannot pass.
- We found no official statement about Megamarket being blocked abroad.

Frequently asked questions
What does “Oops… requests look automated” mean?
It is the site’s check for automated requests. The site does not explain what exactly looked suspicious. The page text mentions VPNs and anonymizer extensions.
Will a Russian IP address help?
Not necessarily. In our October 4 test, the Russian probes, including a home one, got the same page as the foreign ones, so the cause may not be the country. Also, a Russian address means connecting through a VPN, and the page asks you to turn your VPN off. There are no guarantees, but you can test it for free: 7 days with Liberum VPN, no card needed.
Where do I write to Megamarket?
Write to help@megamarket.ru, the address shown on the page itself. The page advises attaching the request ID and the time of the request.
Why did our probe get code 200 while Globalping got 403?
These are different clients and different probes, and they responded differently to the same check. We did not find out why the codes differ.
Who owns Megamarket?
According to Kommersant of June 8, 2026, Sberbank bought 85% of the project in 2021, and the co-owners of LLC “Marketplace” are not disclosed.
