CDEK from abroad: the website won’t open or hangs on a check — what to do
In short
If the CDEK website hangs on a browser check, our measurements suggest the country isn’t the cause: on October 10, 2026, requests without a browser got the same Servicepipe page in Moscow (Globalping probes), Germany, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Armenia. The CDEK app and its Telegram bot show parcel status. Liberum VPN’s Russian location, free to try for 7 days, didn’t remove the check in our test.
Checked
A white screen with a spinning icon where the tracking form should be most likely means you are stuck on a browser-check page that the CDEK website puts in front of its content. We wanted to find out whether only people visiting from abroad see it, so we requested www.cdek.ru from several countries, including Russia. The answer was the same everywhere, so what matters here is what this check is, how to find out a parcel’s status without the website, and what else you can try.
Why the CDEK website won’t open and asks you to pass a check instead
The cdek.ru home page sits behind protection from a company called Servicepipe. On September 21, 2026, CNews described it as a developer of traffic control solutions whose products protect web applications from DDoS attacks, botnets and other automated threats. In response to our request, the website returned not its own content but a short page: a loading icon, a check script from the servicepipe.tech server, and a fallback redirect for browsers with JavaScript turned off. A program without JavaScript, like ours, does not get past this page; what happens after it in an ordinary browser cannot be seen from the code.
What matters more: it is not only visitors from abroad who get this page. Since October 3, our automated probe has been requesting www.cdek.ru twice a day from our server abroad, and all 16 times the check came back. On October 10, Globalping probes in Moscow got it too. CDEK is also missing from the April list compiled by Hi-Tech Mail of services that users say only work with Russian IP addresses. So, according to our data, the country is not the issue: all our automated requests got the check, wherever they came from.
Our October 10 measurement: Russia and five other countries
We requested the www.cdek.ru home page through Globalping in two measurements of four probes each, and separately from our server abroad. We did not enter tracking numbers or log in to an account. All times are UTC and the date is October 10, 2026, except where noted.
| From where | When | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Russia, Moscow: a Timeweb data center and a Timeweb point tagged by Globalping as a home network (Globalping), three checks | 23:16 | code 200, Servicepipe check page, no website content |
| Germany, Falkenstein: Hetzner data center (Globalping) | 23:16 | the same |
| The Netherlands, Amsterdam: data center (Globalping) | 23:16 | the same |
| Kazakhstan, Almaty, and Armenia, Yerevan: G-Core Labs data centers (Globalping) | 23:16 | the same |
| Georgia, Tbilisi: data center (Globalping) | 23:16 | the same |
| Our server abroad | 23:14; Oct 3 to 10 — 16 probe runs | code 200 and the same check page, including in all 16 probe runs |
| cdek.ge and cdek.kz — our server abroad | 23:18 | code 200 and an identical Servicepipe check page |
| Liberum VPN’s Russian location | 23:17 | code 200 and the same check page |
How to read the table. Code 200 here does not mean the website opened: the server returns the check page with the same code. The cdek.ru certificate passed standard validation in every probe. We did not open the site in an ordinary browser with JavaScript and do not know whether the check would let such a browser through, in Russia or abroad. “Home network” and “data center” are Globalping’s own labels; this time, no genuine Russian home network was among the probes.
Bottom line: 8 Globalping probes in six countries, our server abroad and the Russian location all got an identical page. If the CDEK website gets stuck on the check in your browser, this measurement does not show that a foreign address is to blame. What it does show is that the check is designed for a browser with JavaScript: for those who have it turned off, the page offers only the fallback redirect.
How to track a CDEK parcel from abroad without the website
- The CDEK app. In the Russian App Store it is called “SDEK: Dostavka i Shoping” (CDEK: Delivery & Shopping), and the developer is CDEK Global. Its description says the app tracks parcels by phone number “within Russia and from abroad” and from any delivery operator, while tracking purchases from online stores and finding the nearest pickup point work even without registration or a contract. Apple’s lookup service shows the app in the App Store of Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Germany, the Netherlands, the US and other countries; for Android, it is on Google Play and RuStore (version 5.15.0 of September 22, 2026). The interface is in Russian only, and we have not used the app ourselves.
- The Telegram bot @edostavkabot. CDEK’s official Telegram channel wrote about it on May 16, 2024: in the bot you can check the status of your orders, change the delivery address or time, calculate delivery time and cost, and report a problem, and authorization by phone number takes about 30 seconds. We have not checked whether the bot works the same way today and from abroad.
CDEK abroad: offices and websites in other countries
CDEK operates beyond Russia. According to Wikipedia, the company opened a representative office in Almaty in 2012, in Minsk and Beijing in 2014, and in Yerevan in January 2016, and in December 2025 it reported 5300 pickup points in 40 countries. In July 2023, CDEK’s Tbilisi branch wrote on vc.ru that 9 branches had opened in Georgia since 2022, in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Zugdidi and Mestia, and pointed readers to the list of offices on cdek.ge.
For readers living in one of these countries, the local office is one more place where you can ask about a parcel without opening cdek.ru. But don’t count on the local websites as a way around the check: on October 10, the cdek.ge and cdek.kz home pages returned exactly the same Servicepipe page to our server abroad.
What CDEK’s rules say about blocking access
We could not read the user agreement of cdek.ru itself: it sits on the same website, behind the same check. What did open was the agreement of another company service, CDEK Forward, for orders from foreign online stores (global.cdek.ru, the version in force since December 2, 2025, operated by SDEK-Global LLC). Under clause 4.1.4, the company may, without prior notice, block a user’s access to the website and delete their account for breaching the agreement, and clause 7.1 lists other grounds for blocking as well. Clause 5.6.10 prohibits using programs for automated collection of information and interaction with the website. The agreement says nothing about VPNs.
The Russian location on trial: 7 days, no card
We also sent the www.cdek.ru request via Liberum VPN’s Russian location (October 10, 23:17 UTC); as in our other checks, the program executed no JavaScript. The response was no different from the foreign ones: the same Servicepipe check page. So a Russian address by itself does not remove the check, and we won’t present it as a cure for it.
A Russian IP helps in a different situation: when a website refuses foreign addresses specifically. That was the case with Russian Post: in our October 3 measurements, it answered foreign probes with code 417 and a message asking them to check that the VPN was off, while via our Russian location it opened on October 4 (details in our article why Russian Post wants your VPN off when you’re abroad). If websites like that won’t open for you from abroad, a Russian address can be tested at no cost, and it may work for them. In our test it made no difference to the CDEK check.
Message the Liberum VPS bot, switch on the trial (7 days, card details not required), choose 🇷🇺 Россия (“Russia”), put the subscription link into a suitable app (Happ, for instance), press connect and load the site you need. The location’s Russian address is used by many of the service’s customers at once; it is not assigned to any one person. More about what a Russian IP address for accessing Russian websites from abroad gives you is covered on the location’s page.
What we don’t promise
- That the Servicepipe check will let you through. We only came across it in responses to requests without a browser, both Russian and foreign.
- That a Russian address will change anything on cdek.ru. The same check page came through our Russian location as at all the other points.
- That your account will stay unblocked. The CDEK Forward agreement (clause 4.1.4) allows the company to block access and delete an account for violations without notice; we could not read the cdek.ru agreement.
- That the app and the bot work in any country. We did not test them, and the fact that the app is listed in many countries’ App Stores doesn’t mean it works in each of them.
- That the picture won’t change. Website protection changes without announcement, and our measurements were taken on October 3–10, 2026 and describe only those days.
Key takeaways
- The CDEK website shows a check page from Servicepipe; on October 10, probes in Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Armenia got it.
- Our measurements show no sign that the check is switched on only for foreign addresses; we did not test a browser with JavaScript.
- You can check a parcel’s status in the CDEK: Delivery & Shopping app or in the Telegram bot @edostavkabot.
- CDEK has offices in Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia and other countries, but the cdek.ge and cdek.kz websites sit behind the same check.
- The CDEK Forward agreement allows blocking access and deleting an account without notice (clause 4.1.4).
- Liberum VPN’s Russian location costs nothing to try for 7 days, but in our measurement it did not remove the check on cdek.ru.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the CDEK website show a browser check?
The website sits behind Servicepipe protection, which filters out automated requests. On October 10, 2026, all our requests made without a browser got the check page: from Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Armenia.
Is the CDEK website blocked abroad?
Not in our measurements: foreign probes got the same check page as Russian ones, and the website’s certificate passed validation everywhere. We did not test whether the site opens in an ordinary browser with JavaScript.
How can I track a CDEK parcel if the website won’t open?
Through the CDEK: Delivery & Shopping app: according to its App Store description, it tracks parcels by phone number, including from abroad. There is also the Telegram bot @edostavkabot, which CDEK’s official channel wrote about in May 2024.
Can I download the CDEK app abroad?
According to Apple’s lookup service, the App Store lists the app in Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Germany, the Netherlands, the US and other countries; for Android, it is on Google Play and RuStore. We haven’t tried the app ourselves.
Will the CDEK website open with a Russian IP?
Not in our measurement: the same check page came through the Russian location of Liberum VPN. If, however, other Russian websites you need won’t open from abroad, a Russian IP can be tested during the free trial week.
